Flight Club
Amore, Italia
A Piedmont flight — four wines, four courses, and the tall tales behind each pour.
A Table Set for Piedmont
Flight Club is our recurring wine education series — one region, one story, one unhurried evening at a time. This September we set the table for Italy, and more specifically for Piedmont.
Four considered pours from Italy’s northwest, home to some of the country’s most singular whites and its most food-shaped reds. Four courses prepared by Executive Chef Danny Le, each written to sit beside a specific glass. And the tall tales that connect them — the growers, the villages, and the reasons a bottle ends up on a table this far from the vine.
Four Wines, Four Courses
Piedmont, front to back. Four wines from Italy’s northwest — the region that gave us Barolo and Barbaresco, and the aromatic whites the coast learned from — each set beside the course written for it.

Flight Club FAQ
What is Flight Club?
A recurring wine education series at Chez Bacchus. Each chapter focuses on a single region or theme — considered pours, small plates, and the stories that connect them. New chapters land roughly every quarter.
What does “$85++” mean?
$85 covers the four wine pours, the four food pairings, and the guided narrative from our wine team. The ++ refers to applicable tax and gratuity, added at the table.
When will I see the specific courses?
The full lineup is confirmed and listed above — four Piedmont wines, each with the course written for it. Our kitchen may make small adjustments for what the market offers that week; anything material is shared with confirmed guests by email ahead of the evening.
Will the wines be available to take home?
Featured bottles are offered at special event-night pricing for the duration of the evening. Quantities are limited.
How long does the evening run?
About two to two and a half hours, including pours, food, and Q&A. Plan accordingly.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes — please note any restrictions at the time of reservation, or call us at (562) 336-1440 at least 48 hours ahead.
What is the dress code?
Smart casual. The room is intimate; most guests dress up a little for the occasion.
Our Wine Program
Over 60 selections from 15+ regions, sommelier-curated and all available by the glass and carafe.
