Flight Club is our recurring wine education series — one region, one story, one unhurried evening at a time. This May we are traveling to Spain.

Three considered pours, three plates from Executive Chef Danny Le, and the stories that connect them. Each wine arrives with the dish that argues for it. Bring your curiosity; we will bring the tall tales.

Marqués de Riscal

Bay Scallop Ceviche — avocado, fennel, grapefruit.

Pour Two

Granito del Cadalso

Long Beach Mushroom Toast — lemon-mascarpone, pickled shallot, honey-thyme sourdough.

Pour Three

Pago del Cielo

Braised Beef Cheek — celery root purée, cauliflower, baby carrot, paprika gremolata.

Flight Club FAQ

What is Flight Club?

A recurring wine education series at Chez Bacchus. Each chapter focuses on a single region or theme — three pours, three small plates, and the stories that connect them. New chapters land roughly every quarter.

What does “$70++” mean?

$70 covers the wine flight, the food pairings, and the guided narrative. The ++ refers to applicable tax and gratuity, added at the table.

Will the wines be available to take home?

Featured bottles are offered at special event-night pricing for the duration of the evening. Quantities are limited.

How long does the evening run?

About two to two and a half hours, including pours, food, and Q&A. Plan accordingly.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes — please note any restrictions at the time of reservation, or call us at (562) 336-1440 at least 48 hours ahead.

What is the dress code?

Smart casual. The room is intimate; most guests dress up a little for the occasion.
